Earth: Solar eclipses

July 22, 2009 Total Eclipse

Mutual Events of Saturn's Satellites

A table of mutual events of Saturn's satellites during the 2009 equinox may be found here.

Pan transit from Titan
No shadow should be visible, since Pan appears much smaller than the Sun when seen from Titan.

Enceladus transit from Titan
The apparent diameter of Enceladus is significantly smaller than the Sun's, but still large enough to cast a faint shadow.

Tethys transit from Titan Tethys is larger than Enceladus, so the shadow is larger and darker than Enceladus's.

Mimas eclipse from Enceladus

Rhea eclipse from Mimas

Dione eclipse from Rhea
